All Of Our Doctors Are Certified Optometric Glaucoma Specialists. Dr. Dan E. McQueen![]() Dan E. McQueen, O.D. graduated with honors from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and completed his Optometric studies at the University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Optometry. He received many awards in Optometry School including the Dean's Award for highest academic achievement, the CibaVision Contact Lens Award and the Bausch & Lomb Outstanding Achievement Award. Following Optometry School, Dr. McQueen was the Chief of the Optometry Clinic at the United States Air Force Hospital Cannon in New Mexico. Dr. McQueen opened his private ptactice in Austin in 1987. Dr. McQueen maintains active memberships in the Central Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. He has a particular interest in contact lenses and refractive surgeries and was trained in laser refractive surgery comanagement at the Beacon Eye Institute in Toronto.
Dr. Laura K. Beck Laura K. Beck, O.D. is a native of Seguin, Texas and graduated magna cum laude from Texas Lutheran University in 1995. She received her Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1999. Among her Optometric awards she received the best in class award for corneal pathology and was inducted into Beta Sigma Kappa, the international optometric honor society. She has served as a volunteer for Prevent Blindness Texas and has worked with the Lion’s Club to donate eye examinations. Dr. Beck maintains active memberships in the Central Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Shelly L. Collins![]() Shelly Collins, O.D, a native Texan, was valedictorian of her graduating class at Harlingen High School. She attended Texas A&M university from 1983 to 1986. Dr. Collins graduated from the University of Houston magna cum laude in 1989 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. At The Univeristy of Houston she was a member of PSI CHI, the national psychology honor society, and Beta Sigma Kappa, the international optometric honor society. In 1993, Dr. Collins was awarded her Doctorate in Optometry when she graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry magna cum laude. Following graduation, Dr. Collins opened an optometric practice in Oak Hill prior to joining our practice in 2002.
Dr. Elizabeth C. McClune![]() Elizabeth C. McClune, O.D. graduated with honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a Bachelors degree in Psychology in 1996. She received her Doctorate in Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in 2001, graduating cum laude. At the Southern College of Optometry she was selected as a Student Ambassador and was the school’s California State Representative, in addition to being a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the international optometric honor society. Following graduation, Dr. McClune spent five years working in a private practice in San Diego, California focused on pediatrics and primary care optometry. She also served as Adjunct Clinical Faculty for the Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. McClune has performed five major contact lens and pharmaceutical studies to date. Dr. McClune moved to Austin Tx and joined our practice in 2007. She is an active member of the Central Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Linda M. Pak![]() Linda M. Pak, O.D. is a native Austinite and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She was awarded her Doctorate in Optometry and graduated with Honors from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in 2009. Among her Optometric awards, Dr. Pak was honored with the Dean's List Award for excellence in academic achievement and received the Primary Care Clinical Achievement Award for outstanding clinical performance and patient care. In 2005 she was among the first in her class to be inducted into Beta Sigma Kappa, the international optometric honor society. Dr. Pak maintains active memberships in the Central Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. She has a special interest in contact lenses and pediatric optometry.
